UP PCSJ 2022: If the aspiring candidates of Uttar Pradesh want to make a career in the field of judiciary and want to be a public servant, then they can apply for the post of civil judges. UP PCSJ 2022 Application Form:

In order to appear for the examination, you will have to fill up and submit the UP Judicial Services 2022 Application Form. The candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • The application form available on the official website and all the eligible candidates will be able to fill-up the form online.
  • Candidates will have to fill up all the details in the application form and these include the name, age, gender and educational qualification.
  • Other than this the candidates will also have to provide the details of the communication that include the address, phone number, and email id.
  • There will also be an application that the candidates will have to pay online.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee for the candidates belonging to the general category will be Rs. 125 and the application fee for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category will be Rs. 65/-.
  • The candidate will have to make the fee payment through debit or credit card or through net banking.

UP PCSJ Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who are eligible for the examination and the process of selection can appear for the examination. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidates need to be the citizen of India.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to have a domicile of Uttar Pradesh in order to get the reservation and the relaxation.
  • The candidates must complete a Bachelor’s Law degree from the University established by law in the state of Uttar Pradesh or any other state of India that is recognized by the governor for this purpose.
  • Has to be a registered advocate under the provisions of the Advocate Act of 1961 or a Barrister of Northern Ireland or England or a member of the faculty of advocates in Scotland. You are permitted to practice in the court or the courts that are subordinate to it.
  • It is also necessary for the candidate to have complete knowledge of Hindi in the Devanagari script.
  • The age of the candidate will have to be somewhere between 22 years and 35 years where both years are exclusive.
  • There will be 5 years of age relaxation for the SC and the ST candidates.
  • The candidates who belong to the OBC category will get an age relaxation of 3 years.

UP Judicial Services Exam Pattern 2022:

There will be three stages of the examination- Preliminary, Main, and the Viva-voce which is the personality test round. First, the candidates will have to appear for the preliminary examination. The preliminary examination is referred to as the screening test and only after clearing this test, the candidate will be able to appear for the mains examination. Then the last and final stage for the selection process is the interview and after, you clear the interview, the candidate will be able to get the appointment letter.

For the Preliminary round, the exam pattern is as follows:

  • There will be a total of two question papers in the preliminary examination.
  • The marks dedicated to each of the question paper will be 150 marks.
  • The time duration will be 2 hours.
  • The second question paper will be law.
  • The question papers will have the objective type of questions.

For the main written examination, the candidate will have to appear for a total of 5 subjects. Each of the subjects will carry 200 marks. The subjects that will be included in the examination are General Knowledge that would include current affairs, Language, Substantive law, Law of Evidence and Procedure & Penal, Revenue & local laws.

The third stage is the Interview stage. There is no specific pattern or interview but candidates need to have an in-depth knowledge of the law. The interview will carry 100 marks.
